My Favorite Band "Yes" |
Ever since I went with my dad to a concert with my dad, this band has been my favorite. Some call it Progressive Rock, some call it New Age but to me it's just plain cool. "Yes" is a band started in 1969 by five people (The Original Yes)... Jon Anderson, Vocals Chris Squire, Bass and Vocals Tony Kaye, Keyboards Bill Bruford, Drums Peter Banks, Guitars But, everyone went their separate ways and "Yes" has had more than 10 people with the band (on and off) since 1971 when Peter Banks left as Yes' guitarist and Steve Howe (Not The Baseball Player) took over with guitar and vocals. Even the lead singer, Jon Anderson, left for a few brief period, during the time their worst album, Drama (Released 1980), was released with Chris Squire and Trevor Horn on Vocals taking Jon Anderson's Place. The worst song on that album is "Into The Lens", the tune is OK but the lyrics of the son are about this guy is talking about him being a camera. Today, "Yes" has created 31 albums and is making a new one coming out sometime this May. Their newest album that's out is Magnification (Released 2001). |
